Wholesale Plumbing Supplies Distributors in Houston Indicted

A grand jury in Houston indicted two wholesale plumbing supplies distributors and an individual today for conspiring to suppress and restrain competition by fixing prices for the sale of plumbing parts. The companies and the individual face up to five years in prison and fines of $250,000 if convicted. The Department of Justice said the defendants violated Section One of the Sherman Act by setting minimum prices for wholesale plumbing supply sales in southeast Texas, including Harris and Fort Bend Counties.

A clogged toilet, water stains, mold or a foul smell can indicate that there’s a hidden leak in your home’s plumbing system. A plumber can find the leak and fix it before it becomes a bigger problem. Leaking pipes also contribute to high water bills in homes with older fixtures. To save money, homeowners can talk to their plumbers about installing low-flow toilets and faucets.
